| Our Proven Method -- Frequently Asked Questions Who needs study skills? Students of all abilities can never overestimate the importance of good study skills and learning strategies. Learning how to learn and applying successful techniques is like rock climbing and having the right equipment and tools to make it to the top. Why should I use your services? Learning is a life-long process. This short, fun, workshop series, "LEARNING TO LEARN", based on the book written by Gloria Frender, has been used effectively for over 14 years. It is backed by years of research and highly successful classroom application at the elementary, middle, and secondary levels. Students and parents have found the ideas and strategies/techniques utilized in her books highly successful. Who will be teaching the classes? Each Learning Power Inc. workshop is taught by a dynamic, highly trained, certified teacher. How many students attend each workshop? Enrollment averages 10–30 students. Parent(s) are encouraged to attend free! What is the cost ? • Basic Workshop Series -- cost $75 per student. (4th & 5th Grade) • Comprehensive Workshop Series -- cost $140 per student. (6th thru 12th Grade) • Both Series Include text and handouts to take home. How much time is involved? Workshops typically meet once each week. Basic Workshop Series 3 hours total.
